On Sizing:

This is an unusual one, but stand in front of a mirror and measure just the amount of your body you can see from the front, then pick the size closest to that, leaning more generous rather than smaller. We recommend a panel that is 1/2 or 1/3 of your full waist measurement for comfort so you still have a good range of motion in bending at the waist.

There is overlap in sizing on panel belts, so we've added a recommended range to help, but the number you get from looking at your actual body in a mirror is the one you should go for :)

We've got a budding leather worker in the house and these are the results of his practice. Handmade on the same table as garments are cut, and rivets set in a big ol' stump in the yard.

Need a longer length? Please let us know via email! We're very happy to prioritize a longer length for you in the future.

the photo with the purple dress shows different sizes on my frame to give you an idea of fit and recommendations and below are my notes from that day :)

Model is 5' 6" with something like a 40in waist, wearing an 18in panel belt

A customer on instagram asked for modeled photos of the 14in and 30in panel belts on my frame for comparison— a request so utterly brilliant that even though I was thoroughly in my packing gremlin state, I wanted to provide right away while we still had examples of both in house ☺️ I have a 40 in waist and select an 18in panel as my preferred style.

The 14in was fine, but definitely made the riveting and knots more central. It’s a shorter panel, so for my longer torso, it looked a bit proportionally off for what I’m usually trying to achieve but was still plenty comfortable.

The 30in kind of looks like it could be something cool here but let me assure you that it was So Uncomfortable and difficult to get on 😅 I can ramble for a whole video about this some day but it boils down to the ties were near my back and our belts aren’t really reinforced enough to be cinchers like this so on top of being uncomfortable as all get out, they’d probably also buckle on you pretty quick.

And there you have it! 🤣
